Meet our Team

Hamid started out in the Market Research industry in the phone rooms in 2003, stepping out solo he founded The Black Currant Solutions in 2007. As a single employee company TBCS began by outsourcing to other partners. As the company grew Hamid saw the need for his own phone room, today the seating capacity of his room in New Delhi is 150! Together news essays with our phone rooms spread across the world CFS’s access to respondents is now higher than ever before. Anne began working in the Market Research industry in 1997, dialling respondents and conducting interviews, CLT testing and intercepts much the same as Hamid.

Hamid and Anne began working together in 2010 as client/vendor, it was the beginning of a wild ride that they could not have foreseen. They worked on 100’s of projects together during this time and collaborated on industry trends and the increasing need for CATI with a twist. In 2016 they joined forces and rebranded TBCS as Currant Fielding Solutions.

Interviewers

We utilise our own phone rooms as well as member phone rooms for project recruitment. All phone rooms do scheduling only; they do not do any interviewing. All interviewing is done in-house out of our HQ location. The decision to keep all of the professional, native language interviewers in-house and in a centralised location was made to ensure quality control processes, consistency of question presentation and that standard operating procedures were uniform across all languages.

Our team of interviewers is organised by specialty in each language (IT, healthcare, finance, etc.). We pride ourselves on ensuring our interviewers are knowledgeable about the topics they are engaging respondents in. For each language, we have phone rooms that seat an average of 30 phone recruiters. For each language, we also have a minimum of 30 interviewers, with an average of 5-8 interviewers working on any specific project depending upon the topic or industry. The number of recruiters and interviewers is juggled as needed according to the number of projects running, timeline, IR, response rate, etc.

Auditing Teams

Auditing is conducted at 3 levels:

  • Quality team auditors
  • Team leaders
  • Project managers

The quality team audits 20% of the live calls made by each interviewer. The target is set weekly and per project. Every week, 20% of the calls made by an interviewer will be monitored and 20% of calls for each project are monitored.

At the team leader level, a similar process is involved in that they monitor 15% of the total surveys done daily. The quality team and team leaders share regular updates and coordinate with each other so as to not duplicate efforts. This cooperation between teams ensures a minimum of 35% of all live calls are monitored.

At the project manager level, 5% of all calls are monitored every week. These are not randomly selected surveys like the quality team/team leaders. The focus of the project manager monitoring is primarily to audit the interviewers who have previously been flagged by the quality team/team leader. If there are no flagged interviewers, they focus all efforts on new interviewers.
